Was Cantinflas just a mime?

 Welcome, seeker of secrets...

In this blog, we’re going to uncover the true secret of Cantinflas, something not everyone knows... but Hidden Files does. And we’ll reveal it in full detail.

It all begins in Acapulco, where Cantinflas acquired a luxurious mansion.

This location has long been known as a haven for celebrities, a place where stars come to stay and escape the spotlight.

However, the strange part wasn't the purchase of this beautiful home...

It was the reason why he bought it.

Many might think he bought it like the others did , as an investment, or simply to enjoy luxury.

But that wasn’t the reason Cantinflas put so much care into his new home.

What he truly sought… was to encounter a mermaid.🧜🏼‍♀️

It may sound completely insane, but that was the real reason he purchased the property, a mansion that today lies abandoned… and according to many, haunted.

Cantinflas had it all.
Fame, fortune, admiration , but there was one thing he could never obtain, no matter how powerful he became.

His greatest desire was to meet a mermaid, and that... couldn’t be bought.

He spent countless hours on the beaches of Acapulco, and everyone believed he was simply in love with the sea.

But they were wrong.

What he truly longed for was a relationship with a mermaid , those mythical beings that had captivated his imagination.

And according to a well-known Mexican legend, Cantinflas would succeed...by making a PACT. 💀

That’s how he met a mysterious man,
someone he encountered at a bar in Mexico City.

His name was Carlos Lorenzo Hernández.

Some say it was pure coincidence.
Others claim the meeting had been carefully arranged.

But what everyone agrees on is this:
From the moment they met, they couldn’t stop talking.

To Cantinflas, this man was fascinating.
He opened up completely, revealing even his most intimate secrets.

He confessed his desire to meet a mermaid, and not just meet her, he wanted one to become his wife.

Carlos asked him why he wanted that so badly.

Cantinflas simply answered:

“I feel deeply drawn to them.”

Then Carlos asked:

“And how much are you willing to give… to make that wish come true?”

Without hesitation, Cantinflas replied:

“Whatever it takes.”

Some say they toasted at that moment.
Others claim he signed something,

and that it wasn’t with ink....

They say the man gave him a stone, one that resembled quartz,
and told him to buy a house in Acapulco.

He even guided him, telling him exactly where the house needed to be.

Once Cantinflas had done it, the man promised he would return…
to retrieve the stone.

And so he did.

Some time later, the mysterious man came back
and this time, he gave instructions.

One of them was to build a statue of him,
and place it facing the sea.

He also asked Cantinflas to decorate the walls of the house
with shapes and carvings of sea creatures.

Some time later, while Cantinflas was at home, the mysterious man visited him again
at 2:00 a.m.

Cantinflas welcomed him in, and Carlos asked him to step outside
and look near the spot where the statue faced the sea.

He couldn’t believe what he was seeing…

There were mermaids in the water.
Waiting for him.

From that night on, legend says Cantinflas began to have regular contact with these strange beings.

It is even said that one of them became his lover,
visiting him every night
staying until morning,
then vanishing into the ocean.

And she wasn’t alone.

Eventually, she began bringing more mermaids with her.

They would hold secret gatherings and celebrations at the Acapulco mansion,
where the mermaids were the main attraction.

Several people claim to have attended those mysterious parties…
and to have seen the mermaids themselves.

To this day, some locals say that strange creatures can still be seen in the sea at night
visiting Cantinflas,
unaware that he’s already passed away.

The mansion had cages
something many found deeply unsettling.

But only he knew the real reason why they were there.

Many say that if you want to see the mermaids, you must stand in front of the statue at 2:00 a.m.

Then…
you’ll feel a cold, sticky hand on your shoulder. Locals in the area claim to have had countless experiences,

and they describe these beings not as beautiful, but as terrifying.

They say the mermaids had no hair,
stood around 1.80 to 1.90 meters tall,
and were far from the graceful creatures of fairy tales.

“They were monstrous,”
some whisper,
“not from this world.”

The end of this story is simple... and chilling.

After Cantinflas’ death, the house was left abandoned.

This is a legend few know , but many have spoken of it,
sharing dark, personal experiences tied to what happened there.

Whether it’s real or not…
the truth lies buried beneath the waves...
